Last Friday night, in
Newscastle-Under-Lyme, one very special party took place. Obviously that
certain day was the one we, all Revolution lovers, been waiting for
quite a time. On 27th of January 2012 Revolution de Cuba was born for
good.
I was pretty much lucky to get invited to attend that event, along with
my partner and few more Cuba lovers. Atmosphere was outstanding.
Although opening ceremony started at 6pm, the real life took over the
place at about 9pm.

How To Be The Change You Want To See In The World

Mahatma Ghandi said “be the change you want to see in the world“. It’s a beautiful expression, but it’s a bit harder than it sounds, isn’t it?
But this change can carry whatever meaning you give it. How do you think the world can be a better place?
For you and for others? Personally, I think the world would be better
if we foster love and connection instead of hatred and fear. Here is a
little list of things we all can do to make it happen:
1. Tell the people you care about how ... Continue reading ...
Fashion Inspired Tattoos
Tattoos have been influencing and making their way into fashion for several seasons. Casual
t-shirt lines like Lucky Brand Jeans & Ed Hardy made the trend
popular, while reality tv shows have made tattoos mainstream. Over time,
tattoos have even migrated to high end labels like Gucci, who recently
joined in on the fun with their Tattoo Love collection. A four hundred dollar wristlet
featuring a logo style formally associated with prisoners, gang members
and military servicemen? Times th... Continue reading ...
Back to Black
Posted by Tyna on Sunday, January 8, 2012,
You know how sometimes you see a look and everything tells you it
shouldn’t work but somehow it does? That’s how I'm feeling about this
week’s Style Synonyms look. Black on black on black is one thing – it’s
hard enough given all the varying shades of black out there, but this
gorgeous specimen takes it one step further and does leather on leather…
in all black.
Unquestionably, she’s working this urban uniform… but we say try at your own risk.
 - The edgy look of all black ...

Fashion

World of fashion started to change couple years ago. Since then it moved with no rush from XXS anorexy to XXL plus size models. But isn't it a little bit too far? Have a look at these pictures, where typical S-sized dresses have been converted to much much bigger ones. It really looks like fashion is bouncing from one edge to another. There are already few well known Model Agencies promoting Plus Size Models only. It's very easy to find models themselves in several big m... Continue reading ...
How To Shop Smart In The Sales
It’s a well-documented fact that retail isn’t going well right now…
not just in Australia, but all over the world. And whilst many stores
have started their post-Christmas sales early, we all know they’re
keeping something up their sleeve and there’s likely much more to come.
Bento was built on the idea of less is more. Buy less, but spend more
on each item. Buy better quality and pieces you’ll love rather than
spend your hard-earned dollars on cheap junk that will quickly fi... Continue reading ...

“Safety reflective badges”
Badges are made of light reflecting material. Autonomous project, 2009
Usually we don’t like wearing reflectors because of how they look – fluorescent colors or childish shapes and design.
My aim was to create a “new look”
badges using soft reflective material, which would be nice to touch.
That could attract us to use these badges not only because of the
self-protection but also because of the style.
Made from a light material all of them
are h... Continue reading ...

Make-up
Eye makeup application is risky business when applying a black beautiful line on already made up eyelids.
Eye Makeup Application Techniques
The chance of mishap is great and usually everyone is on a
time schedule. When in these inexperienced moments one tends to mess up,
then in frustration gives up altogether.
Two basic skills are needed when learning eye makeup application techniques.

The following images are from the blog, ‘My Shabby Streamside Studio’,
and belong to the talented Sandra Foster. Her pure and simple style is
breathtaking, combining white on white interiors with pretty vintage
accessories.

Tips on vintage styling: -
Use old medicine bottles as vases, clear glass look best.
-
Use old french linen as a tablecloth, embroidered edging looks super cute.
-
Hang vintage bags on door knobs or if you have one, on the corner of your metal bedstead.
-

Men's Casual World

Fashion
Whether it’s for the ill-fated office party or
the obligatory dinner arrangements, a smart-casual dress code can pose
somewhat of a conundrum. The term itself is an oxymoron – albeit one of
acceptability – with its ambiguity leaving a lot of room for faux-pas as
it straddles the most awkward of fashion divides. Negotiating this minefield however is no life or death situation and nailing a killer smart-casual look is much easier than it appears at first-glance, let alone once the free... Continue reading ...
